Google Chrome Installation

Google Chrome is a free web browser developed by Google Inc, that is fast and easy to use, while keeping you safe on the Web. It is currently available for Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or latest versions of windows XP and Windows Vista.
To install Google Chrome on your PC, follow these steps below.
  1. Click Here Download Click on Download Google Chrome Button.
  2. Click Download Google Chrome. Downloading the installer file from this location ensures that you'll be able to get updates, security fixes, and access to all of Google Chrome's features.
  3. Review and go through the "Terms of Service", then click "Accept and Install" to continue. You can subscribe to send Google crash reports of the browser and to send statistics on how often you use Google Chrome features by selecting the checkbox at the bottom. Google Chrome will not send any personal information, such as name, email address, Google Account information or passwords.
  4. When the installation finishes, the "Welcome to Google Chrome" dialog box will appear. Click on Start Google Chrome just to finish the default installation or click Customize these settings to customize your installation and settings.  Default installation options 

  1. If you click Start Google Chrome, then the browser will finished the installation automatically by importing your bookmarks, home page, browsing history, and saved passwords from your current default browser (Firefox or Internet Explorer). It will also adds a Google Chrome shortcuts to your Start menu, desktop, and Quick Launch bar of your PC.
  2. You can stop the importing process at anytime by clicking on Stop import. You can always import your browser information at a later time in future.
    Customized installation options
    You can also customize the way that Google Chrome imports your information from other web browsers and how Google Chrome shortcuts should be created. You also have the choice to choose whether or not you want to make Google Chrome your default browser.
    • Importing
      • If you don't want to import browser information at this point, deselect the 'Import settings from' checkbox.
      • If you want to import then to import information from a different browser, select the 'Import settings from' checkbox and use the drop-down menu to select from Internet Explorer and Firefox. Google Chrome currently unable to import from other browsers except from Firefox or Internet Explorer.
    • Default browser
      The 'Make Google Chrome the default browser' checkbox is selected automatically. If you want to use another browser to open links by default, deselect the checkbox else let it checked.
    • Shortcuts
      Icons that launch Google Chrome from different parts of your PC can be created and placed on your computer desktop, Start menu, and Quick Launch bar. Deselect all checkboxes for locations where you don't want shortcuts to appear. When you finished customizing your installation process and options, click OK.
